Tests and approval of types of measuring instruments are part of the system of legislative metrological control of the Russian Federation, designed to provide the government with means to ensure compliance with the requirements of law or regulations. They are important links in the organization of metrological control. Tests of the measuring device are an objective process of determining all data on its type, and type approval is a solution based on this data and represents an official decision to accept or reject any type of measuring instrument with respect to its release into circulation.
